re-introducing myself

so, i posted awhile back with regards to potentially doing a 2jz FC. well i found another project that intrested me more and it doesn't involve a motor swap what so ever.

i've had an lt1 camaro for the longest of time, i finally have become fed up with it and will be selling it along with a few other things.

a good friend of mine brought back with him a 1993 FD that has a few motor issues from the sounds of it and from what i've read on here already a bad soliniod.

the car is in great condition body wise with only 105k on the tach. i'm not sure how many motor rebuilds have been done i know the last one was at 15k. but basicly i think the internals of this 13b are trashed, car runs but it sounds like a rod knock. . . . . .in a car that doesn't have rods. the boost peaks then drops like boost leaks but was tracked down to a bad solinoid and really those are the only things wrong with it. he wants 6k for the car and i think for the condition of the body that's well worth the money.

my plans for the car is just to make it a very clean simple bolt ons rx7 with maybe some classics and a 99 spec' kit. . .dont really know what i want yet. the 13b is perfectly fine with me and i've never ran anything lower than 91-93.

so do you guys think it's worth picking up a clean 93 for 6g and replacing the motor? i've found a few JDM cosmos motors for a decent price. i'm reading as much as possible and plan to do every modifcation possible to benifit the reliability and the long life of the next motor i put in it.

so, think i should do it?
