Ray from Germany

Hello everyone,

My name is Ray. I'm in the Air Force and stationed in Germany. I've been an AWD Mitsubishi fanatic for quite some time now. I've owned multiple 3000GT VR4s and DSMs. And although it's not a Mitsubishi, I have the goal of returning from Germany with a R32 GT-R (fingers crossed).

Anyways, since arriving in Germany, I've been lacking a project car.......until yesterday. I had a 95 RHD RX-7 pretty much flop into my lap for $1200. The previous owner overheated the car, so I get to rip into this puppy and figure out what's going on with her. And I have to throw a master and slave cylinder on her. But, for the price, I couldn't pass her up.

I'll try get a couple good pics of the car posted within the next couple of days. But for now, I attached what I have. Nothing great.

Also, according to the old "Does the coolant filler neck turn into a geyser when cranked?" test, it needs to be rebuilt.

yeap, If you get a geyser it's a pretty good chance you need a rebuild.

Welcome to the forum! Very clean looking ride you have there! It looks great, you made a perfect choice.

Do you have any plans for future upgrades or just wanted to keep it stock?

I would like to have a solid 400hp car. I think that's plenty for me to have fun with. Although I plan on doing everything right on this car, I don't want to get carried away. Reason being is I plan on bringing an R32 Skyline home with me when I move back to the states. And if I dump tons of money in this RX-7, then the R32 won't be happening.
