Nsx to fd :)

Nsx to fd :)
Not sure where to start off...
I had a 91 black nsx modded it and boosted it. Had some things come up with my DD so i parted it out and bought a nice cayenne turbo. Long story short i got bored and it wasn't my cup o' tea. Sold the cayenne turbo and almost bought a great deal locally for a nice nsx again but credit unions and banks are even worse now to give out loans for older vehicles that are 20k$+ so that deal went dead.
I've always loved the rx7 since i was younger but brothers and such kept me away from the "rotary". Found a nice local one that i'm going to check out this wkend if its what i'm looking for i'll pull the trigger if not going to find a nice roller so i could do a nice BIG swap in it.
here are some pics of my nsx
you'll see me lurking and posting a lot of questions.
actually... 1st question. this rx7 says he has a rebuild engine from a mazda dealership. going to see the paperwork etc but how would i know they changed the seals n such?
thanks
dan

Start by reading the Buyer's Guides in the 3rd gen fAQ thread here:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/
Most, if not all, dealer installed engines were reman engines - so a complete swap not a rebuild that the dealer performed themselves.

guys . i sold that nsx long ago haha. i can own a nsx again later on just want something new again.
whats up tuan yeah its me. dan
not really just buy the turbo kit. its actually quite easy to put on
i've been thinking about the 2JZ swap. what do you think? I dig the rotary just not sure how long it'll last.
to me i've always loved the rx7 look but the reliability was never there and of course who doesn't love the 2JZ. Put 1+1 together... that sounds godlike.
or just go for a reliable built rotary & go veilside.

ahaha i knew the nsx looked familiar! I dig the rx7 over here in japan. I'm running the rotary until it gives out then swap the motor out eventually. I'm still doing research on this car but a 2jz motor would off balance the car wouldn't it? I like the idea and concept. I say just go 20b since you ballin out of control lol

Welcome,
Properly setup rotary is like no other.
But 2jz swaps are also....
"other engine swaps/conversion" section has a few 2jz builds threads going. Check them out if you haven't already.

Sick NSX that you got there buddy. Was really considering one when I bought my 1994 mr2 but price was a bit too high and they're hard to find over here
Incredible job that you did on the NSX. What kind of lag were you experiencing with the turbo being that far from the engine?
yes they are

Honestly no lag really... after 3300 rpm, it boosted hard then once VTEC kicked it. it turned into a f**king jet!
