Nick from Nevada

My name is Nick and Im from Nevada. I joined the forum a couple months ago and have been on it looking around a couple months before I joined.

I joined to because the FD RX7 is a car on my list to own and currently looks like my next purchase as far as cars go. So in order to learn about it here I am. On that note Id like to say that ths forum is amazing and the best I've seen so far. Ive been on the honda, nissan, toyota, and classic mustang forums. This is the best organized and has such good information and community support that it is one of the reasons I would pick the RX7 for my next purchase.

As far as I am conserned I'm 23 and graduating in May with a degree in electrical engineering and plan on buying myself a new toy upon graduation. My first car was a 95 240sx did a sr swap on it. Also did orther basic performance upgrades (turbo, exhaust, intercooler). Did honda swaps just to make money never really owned one; I'm not a fan of Honda. 91 toyota MR2 jdm motor swap with basic upgrades. I currently drive a 98 mitsu 3000gt non-turbo. Im finishing up a 200sx motor swap right now to make some money and will soon be helping a friend work on his 300zx he just got and when Im bored I should get around to my 69 mustang that needs so little to start running again.

Thats a little about me but I doubt anyone really cares. Like I said just here doing some research on the FD. My other cars of interest are the Supra (94-98), Datsun 510 (70-74), 67 Chevelle, 70's Charger, and maybe another 240sx or a rally subaru.

Welcome Nick

We do care about the intro. Lets us know you are a real person and can be taken seriously - especially if you are trying to buy or sell something.

Here is a link to the 3rd gen FAQ thread. You will find Buyer's Guides and lots of other useful info there.

Thanks gracer7 Ive read through it a couple time already so I remember whats there. The only one ive seen in town so far is this one.

http://reno.craigslist.org/ctd/2042825544.html

When I went they didnt know much about it and the guy said it was slow, which made me think it was broken, because I dont see how you could call an FD rx7 slow. To me slow is like geometro or stick civic. I also thought it was funny when i noticed his racing beat exhaust, which I learned about here, and told him its aftermarket and cost $500-$600 and now when I see his ad it always has a picture of it.

The other one Ive seen for sale in town in a nice single turbo with a low milage rebuild on it. Its been tuned already and has quality parts on it and its only 10k. I just wanted to see what twin turbos felt like and possably upgrade to the stage 3 BNR's.

I've been having problems with my account as it will not let me post. I have tried posting in the new member area and it wont let me post. I have contacted a couple of moderators/administrators about this and the only suggestion I've received is to make a new account so I have.

Just want to make it clear that ColbertDisciple and Reno_NVFD are the same person. If someone can help me or has a problem with me making a new account please let me know.

The reason as to why I am doing this now is because I should be getting my FD this week and would like to more actively participate on the forum. Until this time I have just been reading a lot on the forum.

Sorry for the confusion
