Hi everyone,
I used to own a Charcoal Gray 1988 RX-7 GXL 2+2 which I eventually replaced with a 2004 RX-8. I never fell in love with the RX-8 and got rid of it for a 2010 Mini Coopers S. The Mini is not a bad car but I have missed my old RX-7 so I found a clean 1990 RX-7 GXL on Craigslist which I bought cheap because it had a bad engine.
I decided to have Lucky 7 Racing which is a shop near me work on the rebuild and they found the housings to be bad. It was going to cost me a lot for a base rebuild so I decided to do a Turbo II swap/rebuild instead since that was the car I really wanted but could not find one in decent condition. I am not getting my stock hood replaced and opted to get a front mount inter cooler installed instead so that I could keep the body stock since it looks so good to me. I am also getting a Racing Beat REV TII full exhaust since a will need an exhaust as well. Of course I am also getting the Fuel Cut Controller.
I am spending a lot more on the conversion but I figure I will enjoy the car a lot more and I knew I was eventually going to either do it or buy a Turbo II. I'm excited and can't wait for my ride to be ready. However, I have to wait for my JSpec engine, transmission and parts to come in.
