RX Fever started for me at an early age back when I saved up and bought my first FB in high school. It was an 81' and was practically new when I got it. As with any young man I had to start adding "stuff" to it. Stereo, 6x9 speakers in the bins, (great bass back then) Kenwood head unit and graphic equalizer then the exterior.... Whale tail, wire wheels first (later 5 dual spoke aluminum rims), rear hatch sun shade, driving lights, numerous broken auto antenna replacements, etc. Next came the need for speed. Pumper carb upgrade, headers, full exhaust, HD racing clutch (either in or out), light weight fly wheel, new gears and driveline. There wasn't a V-8 350, 442 or 305/302 that could touch the car in the 1/4 mile. It was such a blast. Would top at about 135, no speed demon but it got there fast. Kept a HS kid in the black if you know what I mean...

My friends that new me then say I invented drifting because that car would burn out everywhere and unfortunately it went over a curb or two. Only one way to get experience! Hey I paid for it all, definitely not my parents, this was back in the day you know.. You could hear me coming a mile away in this car with the setup. It sounded like herbie the love bug on roids! I was a super tuner before super tuner was a word.

Mercy, talk about going back in time. Some other things happened in that car that are better left unsaid

Fast forward.................... Just a mild mannered gentleman now with some of that rowdiness wanting to come out now and again. An FC is in the mix now as this is the car that was the next best thing, at that time. Older and wiser has taken over though. NA, reliability mods, "original", well maybe a stereo upgrade and filter, hood struts and stuff like that. Keeping this one simple.

Why? Because the one to go crazy on is the FD I have yet to get. Perhaps in the future, no hurry, as with anything else it just has to happen, right place right time. Looking forward to it though.

So that's me folks. Hope I can add to the mix here. Located outside San Antonio Texas.

MD Welcome in.

Welcome in Brett - 32,000 miles, she looks and is NEW. Thought I did well 2+ years ago finding my first rotary with a 61,000 mile one owner, unmolested car. I'm old retired fart enjoying 2nd torquey childhood. She makes me smile when I walk up to her and even more so when I drive. ENJOY ! Bill

Thank you sir! Just rolled 34K on it on a long trip. Kinda hurts but feels good driving it to make sure it works at the same time. That is what it is made for right. It did well, no reason it shouldn't I suppose. I was just waiting for a semi to chunk a rock and chip my paint or window or something...... Must be living right at the moment
