my name is Elliot Smeltzer. Just picked up an RX7 on tuesday this week. Previously I owned a heavily modified 91 Toyota MR-2. If you read Modified mag you might have seen it, or if you attend any of the larger shows in the east coast you probably have seen it.

First, my old car:


I wanted to go a new direction with vehicles, that the mr-2 wouldn't be great at so i put it up for sale and ended up trading it for a 1993 Mazda RX-7.

Now, my new car.





Black w/ tan leather, obv. 135k on the car and 28k on the motor. The only mod is tein lowering springs. Just how i wanted to start, a car that is stock so i can make it mine. Now as you can see my old car is loud, this one is prob gonna go the same route. I like that style, the cars wont be identical for mod wise but I like modifications that usually fall into the love it or hate it catagory.

Oh on my first full day of ownership i wanted to figure out wheel sizing a little bit so i brought up some old wheels i had in my basement from the mr2 and saw how much poke they would have:
