New Rx7 Fc Fanboy/Owner

Hey everyone my name is Neil and I just bought RX7 FC year 1986 . So I don’t know anything about cars I mean fixing/car parts at all. And yes I’m willing to spend money for that RX7 since its my first car and its my dream car. So as of now my car is working just fine its just that sometimes the car won’t start. My mom said “why did you buy that car. go get another one” my dad said (step dad) “ your car is a piece of ****” (meaning its old and have a lot of problem) but you know what. thats fine. I’m willing to learn how to fix my car so that as I take care of my car. My care will also take care of me. so I hope to anyone who reads this will help me with working on my rx7 fc. god bless everyone 😃

Welcome!!! Do you know any of the car's history? Looks like a base model 86. A fantastic car! How man miles are on the car? I would first run a compression test with a rotary compression tester and then investigate the injector leakage once the engine is turned off. The FC's had some unique issues and most of the time are pretty easy to fix. If you are anywhere close to Northern Ohio, I'd be happy to run the compression test for you free of charge.

Hey man Thanks for the tip but unfortunately I'm nowhere near Ohio. So I might just do the compression myself. The seller "old man" told me he never did anything on the car. and the miles is about 100k miles so im thinking its fine? So far no leakage too or maybe i dont know what is injector leakage yet but Ill check it out. Thank you again sir
