Hey Folks, I've been a long time e30 guy(Been through 3 of them) and I've always had a soft spot for these wankel rotory engines. I was in the market and being that I had a semi reliable daily driver when I came across this seemingly unmolested example of a base 1987 rx7, I couldn't resist. Everything seemed to work but the A/C.
I pulled the trigger and haven't regretted anything about it. Ran a compression test which showed 85-90 across all rotor faces, so I'm a happy camper.
The idle kinda sucks, but it looks like a combination of needing a tune up, worn motor mounts, etc...
I already gained a great amount of invaluable information off of this site and am looking forward to learning a lot more about these little gems.
