You don't need to tell me misterstyx!!! Haha I've been in the Dsm world for over 8 years and never had anything reliable enough. My first eclipse sat in the garage for 3 years while I tried to get it running again, most of my problem was funds. And this talon I own now, blew up the second day of owning it just taking it out for a drive. I wasn't even beating on the thing! So what did I do? Called a friend put a built bottom end in and another 3k in go fast parts, drove it around, and I'm still having annoying issues with it..=\.
So I'm finally throwing in the towel and looking into rotaries. Being 25 years old and owning a talon makes me feel like I'm in high school still. I want a car that's going to turn the heads of everyone, create good hp, look clean and nostalgic. This fc I'm looking into is perfect or that!
It's a 10th anniversary t2 s4 with 40k original miles. The owner said a tree fell on the roof last year and has been sitting since. He seemed like he would sell it, but for the right price, he told me to throw him some offers. I meAn this car is clean! Other than the smashed in roof, the frame looks straight and very little rust. Still has original everything down to the stock cassette player! So it's in raped.
How much do you think I can get this for guys? Mind you this chap is moving down to Florida in 2 months and he said he's going to "chop the top and make it into a roadster" uhh Please don't ruin a 10th anniversary s4. So what could I offer him for a car with a smashed roof to save him the trouble of trailering it down?

well if i get it, basically keeping a stock like appearance and keeping it relatively drivable and not going to high in power. want one for more of a weekend car nice days and especially since the t2 im looking at only has 40k original miles on it obviously wanna hold that number down! haha but based on the pic how much would you offer this guy for a 10th anniversary one?

Honestly, I'm not sure how much luck you'd have repairing mainly because it's a unibody. I think you be better off buying that for as little as possible. Then find an FC with a straight body and maybe a bad engine and use this as an engine donor plus extra miscellaneous goodies.

If it runs I'd offer about $2000. The T2 engine (if in good running condition with that little miles) is well worth every bit of $1500 and add $500 for the the body. I think it's a decent fair price. I paid $2000 for my GXL. It had/has some light body damage but only had about 45,000 miles on a pro rebuilt N/A engine.

Thanks for the advice! I think he said he paid 13k for it years ago and is only the second owner...but that was before a fricken tree fell on it! And it's been sitting for a year and a half!
