Hello, my name is Jerry. I bought my 1989 Convertible in 1991 with 12,000 miles. It was my daily driver until 1997 when it became a weekend car. Was taken off the road in 2002 and sat in the garage gathering dust.
Just last week, I flatbedded it to Pettit Racing where it's getting a good going over to put it back on the road safe and reliable. Can't say enough good things about Cam and the team at Pettit.
Now that I'll be driving it again, I wanted to see what's up in the world of Rx7s these days.

Thanks for the welcome.
Picked the car up at the shop yesterday. First round of rebirth completed with new hoses and belts, fresh oil and lubricants all around, ancient fuel drained and replaced, new clutch hydraulics, battery charged. Car fired up beautifully. Went for a brief drive near the shop just to see if anything major before hitting the Interstate for the 30 mile drive home.
Car felt really good and strong for a car that sat for so many years. Went and topped off the tank, back to the shop for a minor idle adjustment and it was back out for a little highway cruise home.
Almost forgot, the a/c was also converted to r134a and recharged. Gotta have air in this Florida heat. A/C cooled the car beautifully.
Now I'm going to drive her around for a week or so and see what else she needs before I take her back in for the next round of mechanical work before we get into appearance items.
Great to have her back on the road.
