New member here, picking up my first rx7.(1988 vert)

Hey y’all,
I’m very new to the car game. I’m picking up a 1988 rx7 convertible in a few days. She’s been sitting for a few years. I’m hoping to find help to get her started, then making her run strong. Im assuming to get that gas out of there first, maybe changing all the fluids? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum! The car appears to be in nice shape. You're on the right track with draining the old gas and changing the fluids. Much more to do and we can cover that in the 2nd gen tech section. Do you know any of the car's history?

1 owner, it has 56k miles. It’s been sitting for the past 3 years. The owner got it with 10miles, he moved down to Florida so he had his nephew sell the car for him on fb. I seen the ad and drove down to see if it started up with starter fluid, but died out in a few seconds. That’s really all I know. I appreciate you replying!

Sounds like it will be a great car to put a little time and money into. With that low of mileage and having only sat for 3 years, it likely won't take much with the fuel system and you should be back up and running in no time!
