VA New member in the Bristol/Tri-Cities Area

Hello,
My Name is Calvin McKenzie, aka SARGE, I'm 30 years old this year and have lived in the Bristol, Va area for around a decade or so. I'm new to the whole forum thing and I'm hoping to get some insight & help from experienced modders and enthusiasts. I'm a huge fan of the RX-7 and the newer RX-8's. I currently own a "heirloom" 1979 Mazda RX-7. My dad purchased it new in '79, and has given her to me as a project car. She's been parked for a while and I'm just now getting serious about getting her road worthy again. Anyone with tips, advice and assistance will be consider a friend and a huge help. That's pretty much it for now. Once I've gotten some pictures uploaded on her condition, I'll start looking for the threads containing helpful hints and info. Thanks guys, be posting again soon.

Regards,
SARGE

Welcome, Sarge!

I'm up the road from you in Lynchburg. Sounds like a good project. Let me know if you have any questions.

Well Kent and Randall K.,
Thanks for posting and asking me a few questions.

Kent thatnks for the big welcome and if I indeed have any questions I'll be sure to send them your way or the the greater gurus here in the forums that can help me.

As for Randall K.'s question:
I got my nickname bcause before I was discharged from the military on my second tour overseas I earned the rank of E-5, Seargent, or "Buck Seargent" for those who know. All my buddies and the men I served with took to calling me Sarge and it stuck like glue.

Thanks for the postings guys and I'm sorry I've been so remiss in getting to the forum lately. I've been busy with my youngest child here, and he's teething.

Thanks again,
Sarge

Nice, I figured on that, but you never know. Thanks for serving. Army or Marines?
