New member from Bozeman, MT
Hello all,I'm Jon.
I recently acquired an FD3S with a LS1 conversion, and since I can't seem to post in the regional forums I'll post here.
I had an 04 STi that I got rid of for this car and boy has it been fun! Shortly after receiving the car the T56 crossmember, if you could even call it that, decided to remove itself from the vehicle. Since then I've been awaiting Granny's to send over a new and improved, much wider crossmember. Apparently it takes 1 month for them to make one...
The benefit is that it gave me a fun project and an opportunity to fix the horrendous swap done to the vehicle. Wiring wasn't this shop's forte.
Here's a picture of the damage:

I've since completely gutted the car and started fixing the numerous issues that the vehicle had, along with welding in some new floorpan:

I enjoy a good project, but waiting for the crossmember is a little ridiculous. Anybody have a similar experience with Granny's?
Thanks for reading!
