New guy from Cincinnati OH
New guy checking in. My name is Josh and I am from Cincinnati OH. I joined this site because like everyone else on here I am a rotary addict. I have owned seven of them so far. I am currently looking for a new project. Once I get my hands on something I will be sure to do a build thread. In the mean time I will be here to learn a few things and meet some new people.

Well I am looking at two different fc's. One is running but need a little work. Suppose to have a bridgeport and a few other little goodies. We will see though because the dude seem to have zero knowledge when it comes to rotaries/rx-7's. The other is a clean fc shell. It belongs to a friend of mine. It is a very clean shell. Everything is there except the motor and seats. He has a motor he is going to throw in. Needs rebuilt though. Also has some other extras he is throwing in on the deal. I have never torn or rebuilt and rotary before so it is something I really want to learn how to do. And my friend is willing to help me do so. The shell is something I could build and learn with at the same time. And the complete car with the bridgeport is a option as well. I guess I have to decide if I want to take the easy way out for now and get the car that is running and mess with it or get the shell and learn how to rebuild a rotary and build my first car from the ground up.

Sounds exciting man!!! I just bought one last week, I'm just looking for a great shop to aid me in doing all the big work. I know I won't be happy until I'm pushing minimum 350-400 hp. I want it to eventually be my toy only and not a daily driver. But I'm driving the crap out of it for the time being, and I will when it's where I want it to be as well...who am I kidding lol.

misterstyx69 I like the idea of a running car also. But I am torn. I would also like to learn how to tear apart a rotary and rebuild it. Plus I would have to chance to go from the ground up as far as setting everything up how I want it. The shell is complete minus the motor and seats. Trans is still there along with everything thing else. So it's not a bare shell. The car that is running has bounced around the area here a bit and the past 3 owners knew nothing about rotaries or RX-7's for that matter. Just some young guns trying to jump on the drift band wagon. Don't get me wrong which ever I get I plan to drift the **** out of it but...These kids that get a hold of these cars destroy them. I've seen it happen to many times. The running car is suppose to show up this afternoon so we will see what happens.

I bought a running car once.
Then I got the "bug" to just do this and that to it.
This is where I am at,currently. It is a slightly old pic but the car is running. It needs a proper tuning.
It keeps the gravel in my driveway from blowing away!

Glad to see other Cincinnati guys on here.
Do you ever come out to Cars and Coffee at Fuel? There's a pretty good group of Mazda guys that show up. Not a ton of rotaries, mostly Mazdaspeed3s, but there are a few Sevens and Eights that come out.
