New Guy
Hey all, name's Joel. New to RX-7s, had a good buddy back home that did a lot of work on them (ikari89 on here?). History is with CRX's, have had 4 over the years, mostly built for autox. Been working on cars my whole life, with my last experience being running U of Arizona's Formula SAE team for the last couple years.
Recently moved halfway across the country from AZ to AL, and am looking for a project car, so started thinking of RX-7s. Looking to pick up either a turbo II to stick with the rotary setup of going with a FC/V8 transplant. Car will most likely spend some good time at the Barber track down in Birmingham.
That's what I've got. If anyone's got suggestions on the V8 swap (or wants to trash talk such heresy), or knows of any good cars for sale in the northern AL region, let me know.
Cheers,
-Joel

Engine choice is up to you but you're on an RX7 forum so you can guess what most people are going to say.
There is a Engine Conversion sub forum that has a lot of V8 swap info if you want to research that.
There are lots of track guys around so I'm sure you'll find more than enough info.

if you want to do a v8 conversion, be willing to spend more than 8k on that car, unless you already have the engine.. or unless your going to do the labor! if your sticking rotary... then you'll witness first hand the power your car possess.. lol but seriously its your choice your car! either way welcome to the forum!
