New guy with a 84'

HI there my names Zack. I recently got a 1984 RX-7 and i already know ill have a ton of questions. I got the car for free so my first point of business is to determine weather or not its even worth fixing. So RX fans is a free car with some rust and a few problems worth it or should i send it on its way? Keep in mind I'm 24 this will be a second car and i have done some projects before (ie cavalier mods and engine work and help with a 2002 ls1 swap into a 76 vette) but this is a little farther from a comfort zone without much info. So guys help show me the path.
thanks
zack

well got her up on jack stands and the rust on the frame is bad. It looks like the rear end has been welded to the rust quite a few times and even though the engine is good I may have to scrap this project.
