Welcome to the board. Good luck with the build. You're sure to find a wealth of knowledge here.
On a side note, what branch of the military are you in? My sister is in the navy on the Uss George Washington.

I also military stationed in Japan
He's not in Okinawa. He's close to Tokyo. I'm way up north, but I used to live down there.
Cars are decently priced. There are deals out there. I bought my FD here for $4600 delivered to my house with a GReddy single turbo upgrade, Trust Intercooler, Exedy Cluth/Flywheel, Steel-braided lines, Knightsports ECU, Legit Burnout body kit, HKS boost controller. Of course since then, I've spent a total of $12,000 making it the car I've wanted.

sorry if im in and out , navy keeps me busy but i make time to slide by and pick up some knowledge , funny thing i was looking for something to read and i found my buddy from CA that introduced me to RX's , Juanma on the dyno @ 494hp !
@ricomartin , yes i drive here. i own a '96 nissan skyline gts ,its a 4 door .promised myself i wouldnt fall in love with a car that i couldn'nt bring back .so i decided i wanted a RX and i could gather parts here.some cars are cheap here depends on what ur looking for.
@rxvt , japan is nice complete 180 from the states , most people are friendly and eager to help . shopping out in town is kinda expensive ,but hey what could u expect most of it is imported .
@95 bathurst , where did u buy your car . JP spec right? are you planning on taking it back stateside ?

I ordered mine off of Tradecarview.com and had them truck it up to my house. Yes it's a true FD3S. I'd love to take it back Stateside, but that's not legal until 2020. So no. My plans are to sell it in Germany after I get there and enjoy for a couple of years. Just so you know, you can't take anything back to the US unless its on the NHSTA list. FD RX-7s are on there, but ONLY left hand drive. RHD's are NOT eligible for importation to the US.
