Hi
Welcome here
You're in the right place if you're willing to learn more about this car.
Check the forums and the FAQs, you'll learn a lot.
And post some pics of the car 😉

Where in VA?

As for what you need to know, depends on what you have (stock or modified) and what you want (a nice touring sports car or a track beast). At minimum you should replace your fuel filter if that's never been done (not the simplest of jobs), flush your coolant (don't forget to drain the block) and change your oil and other fluids if they have not been replaced. New plugs, plug wires and air filter may also be in order depending on when they were last changed.

IMO, if it's a street car, keep it stock as much as possible (if it's currently stock). There's a lot of "reliability" mods mentioned on this site that are (again my opinion) a slippery slope towards more modification. Getting rid of the pre-cat and an aftermarket AST, sure, but when you start replacing the intake and intercooler you may start getting boost creep issues, which will necessitate porting the turbo wastegate and getting an aftermarket ECU which requires professional tuning.

New to the FD

I’m in chesterfield va, looking to make the car a decent/reliable (if you will) street car. It has already been modified by the previous owner I have the list of mods. Currently the car cranks but won’t start. Here’s the info I have about the car. It’s been sitting for 4 years, someone’s mechanic told the previous owner there was “compression in the coolant”. The car was just deliver today so I haven’t had any time to dig into it.
