Don't get into these cars thinking you're going to have a "collectible" car anytime soon. My two '68 Firebirds are collectibles, especially since Pontiac bit the dust, but I know the two RX-7's won't be in my lifetime....

Nonetheless, good catch for an 86k car! Thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

i understand it wont be a collectible any time soon but what if in 73 someone hacked into you firebird it would make it not as collectible today. i know how you feel i have a 74 plymouth trailduster 4spd 440 all time 4wd and a 67 el camino ss factory clone those both have uncut dashes and are reasonable unmolested classics indeed. just in the long run is this gsl somthing that could be one of those cars in 20 yrs? you know like in the time depicted in mad max

They're classics to us, and that's what counts.

I don't know about Mad Max but you're right...some years down the road, some of the late-Boomers may rediscover the cars and then the prices for unmolested cars will go through the roof since they done got all the money.

Duly noted and absolutely right. Sorry if I came off as some condescending collector snob. Even with the Firebirds, I'm more of a "drive it cuz that's what they made it for" kinda guy. Jay Leno is my hero in that regards also.
