OMG last night was a night to remember, not talking about the fight. thats another story, I got the RX7 in and man what can I say, it its just like the seller describe to me, the paint is in very good conditions for a 15 year old car, the seats have no rips or tears just normal wear on im. the engine is clean and all Vacuum Hoses have been replaced with Red silicone ones, Engine oil looks clean and coolant looks fresh, an best of all NO SMOKE what so ever. and engine idle real nice. So far I am happy, very happy, the only problem is the gas tank door will not stay close, any ideas on that, or maybe I need to search.....

Well yesterday will working on the RX7 my friend who is a ROTARY GURU, by the way he is from PR and has been working with rotary engines for a good 10 years now told me that their is no mechanical problems with the engine, turbo or tranny, it is running strong and it appears that the car had been service and oil, spark plugs and all other routine maintenance was conducted, properly. With that said I am going to get the 7 painted, it has some nicks and scratches and the hood appears to be some what out of alignment, witch all are easy fix. I will install the Boost gage, temp gauge and oil gauge, this weekend and next week is of to the body shop. I will post some more pictures soon.

Yes I am going to keep the same color. I like RED, tomorrow I will post some pictures, I hope to get home during daylight.

This was my best option from all the RX7 that I could afford, and the support from the seller is #1 the conditions overall are very good low miles and very strong and well maintained engine.

Once again, thanks to all of you for such great support, this forum rocks and the search engine even more. Hera are a few shots at was able to get today.

 

Congrats. That does indeed look purdy. I can't believe that car is that or... or rather, that means I am also that much older.

Hopefully, my cousin and I will also be new-to-me RX7 owners (2nd gen), too. Have fun and drive safe!

PS: Yes.. red is damn sexy. I never understood the green appeal...

 

Thanks for the compliments on my FD. I am in need of a Boost Gauge and a Pod, I gues I need to look at the FS threads. other than that I think I will be set. of course I will do the reliability mods, s soon as possible.

I got a real good deal, on a well maintained FD, I am happy very happy. I started to clean and polish the wheels, done only one so far.

No the new paint coat will come some time in late Jan 09 or Feb, thats my plan.

 

dont like thhe interior =\ that paint is gonna start peeling in the future too

 

later on I will have it replace, but for now I am going to take care of the body and get it painted, and seal it of with 2 or 3 coats of Clear.

why do you want to paint it, already looks great... thats like 2k you could put towards mods.
