NC Near Future FD Owner

Greetings rotaryheads, my name is Bryan. I've been on this site as a visitor for a couple of months now, and as I will soon purchase my first rotary, I believe it is time to introduce myself and join this site. I live around an hour West of Charlotte N.C. and currently I am in the market to purchase a 3rd Gen. 7. In the past I have owned my fair share of vehicles, but the RX-7 has always held my fixation. I remember seeing my first one back in '96 at 8 years old and loving the sleek design of the car. Fast forward 17 years later and I will soon own my dream car. I have done research over the past couple of years and weighed the pros and cons of purchasing a vehicle that will need so much attention, but my desire to own this car has won out. My wife is also eager to start this journey with me, which will hopefully pay off in the future when I begin to mod the car. I'm not planning anything crazy, although time will tell. Gaining a whole lot more power is not my goal as I prefer handling upgrades in my vehicles as the first tier of upgrades. I will perform the basic mods such as replacing the DP and AST, upgraded radiator, ect. before anything else. My goal in joining is to meet fellow car enthusiasts and make friends that are as interested in the 7 as I am. I also intend to learn more about the rotary from the senior members of this site as it is full of wisdom. I enjoy long cruises, road trips, and I am a semi-pro photographer. Thank you to the founders of this site for giving me a place to learn. I look forward to my journey,
Bryan

That'd be awesome! I've driven it multiple times now, hopefully soon in an FD. It's always amazing no matter how many times I go back.

Not any RX7 specific meetups that I've been to, but I've seen a couple FC LS cars at the Cars and Coffee at Waverly place in Cary and I'll proably take soemthing there one of these months. There is supposed to be some facebook group for get togethers.

I go to the one in Cary once in a while, a lot of higher end stuff there (ferraris etc) as well as Evo's WRX's, old muscle cars, and I've seen a couple LS powered FC's there.

It is normally held at Waverly place in Cary, the first Saturday of the month

I would come the the Cars n Coffee in Cary this Saturday, but Fayetteville is doing a cruise to Wilmington for a huge Cars n Coffee showdown. It's gonna be pretty awesome! I'm sure I will see you at other events later on.
