Just bought a 87 RX7

HI everyone I just recently bought a 1987 RX7, now Ive always been a Honda guy and I own a 1990 CRX Si, but I've always loved the RX7 line. I bought the 87 off of a my best friends dad. He bought it years ago, it was dealer maintained and its in really good condition, straight body, just needs a good tune-up and detail. But it doesn't start, his dad took it to a mechanic and the guy said the main wire harness is fried, something about the wires melting together or something. I haven't gotten a chance to look around so I don't know if its the wire harness under the hood or dash. So Im take some pictures and see if anyone can help me, Id love to get this baby running, his dad said its runs strong and starts every time and I trust this guy. So Im gonna take some pictures of whats bad and see if I could buy whatever wire harness I need, IF someone has one for sale.

Thanks

have you tried to adjust the tps? a weak battery will cause a no start as well. jumping won't help, you actually have to install a good battery.

you'd think if it were a burned up harness that you'd be able to see it?
