CA hey guys

Hello guys and gals.
I was subject to a hit n run on friday on my way home from work and my first car my 74 260z was hit and totaled:/

Unfortunately, i need to find a car soon.

and unfortunately for my wallet i like rx7s lol
mainly lookin' for FC.

ive never worked on a rotary and find it very interesting.(the engine)
ive been searching for a nice fc with no luck. hope by joining here i might find something.

thanks
-chris

Chris, if this is to be a daily driver car you need ASAP, buying an RX-7 needing engine work because it's cheap is not the way to go and buying a running, reliable RX-7 is not cheap. I hope you got a good amount of cash off the insurance settlement and I hope you got through the accident with no lasting injuries. Read up carefully on the rules found in Sgt Fox's sticky so you don't end up getting frustrated over the rules that had to be set up to actively discourage people from joining the website just to buy stuff.

Aside from alladat, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

Mario, Thank you for your words.

Agreed, an rx7 is hard to upkeep and finding one at an affordable price for a DD probably isn't a smart idea and has withered away as i thought about it more ahah.

Nonetheless i love the FC and FB rx7 and maybe down the road i will own one.

also thank you for the heads up on the rules im not a complete forum noob so i read sticky's first!

Injuries just some whiplash and a cut on my head no biggie. I loved my Z and its metal body did its best to protect me

I had that z for a year and a half and just worried about getting it runnin' as well as possible so it wasnt the best Z aesthetically. But it never let me down.

Currently im shoppin for a nice 2.5 rs that isnt too abused to swapped or something along those lines.no luck this weekend hopefully next weekend something pops up.

Welcome to the boards, from one Chris to another! You'll find A LOT of useful info on here about the rotary engine and the RX7 itself. They're a fun car to have, own and drive (I've had 4).

i say get an na fc. pretty cheap to buy and pretty easy to maintain. at least thats what ive started with and all it needed was some paint and a few parts here and there that go down due to age. and actually these past 3 weeks that its been down is the longest its been down. only due to it getting painted and not with me at the moment LOL. plus there are quite a bit of rotary shops in the la area if you cant seem to fix it yourself for whatever reason

You have a very nice setup on your TII. I just bought my son a 91 Vert and I'm looking for different ideas to modify it. I'm super lucky that I purchased in such a clean condition.
