Hey everyone

Hi i joined this forum to find out some more about the rotory engine and i always wanted to own an FD RX-7, but people that i know and owned them before, scared me with all these apexi seals going bad and engine rebuilds very often. I have always owned awd cars from dsm's to evos.

I have done some researching on the forum, but i am still not convinced for some reason to purchase one....one thing im not sure of is how much is for a rotary rebuild??

Ohh btw right now i own a EVO 8 with a bunch of goodies in it and only 45k miles, so i am having evil thoughts and maybe maybe sell it or even trade it for a nice 3rd gen Rx-7...

let me know what you guys think? is rx-7 as reliable as the DSM or better? Can you take long trips with an rx7 without overheating?

Thanx in advance guys...seen some great cars in this forum btw

Taken care of any Rx7 will not just randomly overheat on long trips... just like any other car.

However, an FD probably won't be as reliable as an EVO though. Still, an FD is waaaay cooler.

Choice is yours, stick with the EVO 8, or man up and get a real car. Just kidding, seriously though, FDs are

Well for some reason my Want to trade ad is not approved becasue i do not see it.

As i mentioned when i first joined here, i always have loved the FDs no matter how much PITA they can be. I am ready to own one though.
SO here i go, car is fully paid off title in hand ( clear title), will provide the vin if you are serious about the trade and off course if i agree to do the trade. I am open to offers, but please do not offer junk, i am willing to accept trade and cash or just straight up trade depending on the value of your car.

MY car is worth $18k just to give a ball park of what kind of trades I am looking for. I am not desperate to trade it, just like to change cars after owning them for a few years. This is my hobby/fun car not my DD. The car does not see snow. I try to avoid rain, but sometimes i get caught in it. Its not that rain will ruin the car, i just do not want to get it dirty lol

Car is solid and is issue free, turn the key and drive it to Egypt and back with no problem. Maintenance gets done on time, the fluids were changed 5k miles ago ( trans, tcase and rear end), also rdiator was flushed when the turbo was swapped.

Anyways, a lot have happened since and the car is still in mint shape. Now on to the car.

2003/2004 Evo 8 Rally Red. ( the car is a 2003 built, but bought brand new on 05/28/2004 so thats why i am calling it 2003/2004)

Miles = 52,xxx
HIDs and sunroof from factory.

Now on to some pics...(i do have the spoiler, but took it off to wax the car) and the bilstein/swift combo its not on the car. They will go in sometimes this week, also the AEM boost gauge and prosport oil pressure gauge are not shown since they were just recently installed, and the pics were from 2 weeks ago.
