HI Hello From Oahu, Hawaii

Names andrew, just bought a beautiful 93 Rx7, and thought id join the forums and et to know the community. Little background information on me i owned a 94 toyota supra "built, single turbo" and a Sc400 "sam engine due to accdent" so to say the least since ive been on island ive had bad luck with my precious cars anyhow staying postive im looking forward to my Rx7.

*PLEASE BE GENTLE ABOUT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION*

I bought my rx7 no engine or trans, for a reason "one i know alot of rotary heads are not gonna like" but yes i am swapping my built 2jz and single turbo setup inside this vehicle sorry if that offends some. I am a toota lover to the end but i respect all platforms that provide great performance and i cant wait til this build is complete i will start a build thread and update as possible for now ill post pics of my supra, sc, and rx7 more of the rx7 tommorrow once ive cleaned her up. Oh AND

Glad to be here...

Drew

Welcome! That's awesome seeing that engine in several cars lol, I once had a maverick totaled and I took the V8 engine out of it and put it in another body, something kinda awesome about doing that. Whatever floats your boat, its your car heh. I personally love rotaries though so I wont change...So you totalled the supra? then swapped the engine into the SC correct? What made ya decide to buy an FD and put that engine in it and not just keep the SC? just wonderin heh.

well i decided to do the rx7 for a couple reasons mainly though cost and availablity. i dont know much about rotaries and dont have anything against them but my car came with no engine and trans and i had a built 2jz with stand alone and all the bells and whistles so i figured ehh why not. plus i always loved the look and feel of the rx7.

Soon as im allowed ill post up my progress...

digging the digital camo valve cover man, welcome to the family, even if you are only a half-brother. At least you weren't the one to rip the heart out of the car. JZ-swaps are becoming more common, can't wait to see yours done, throw a link up to the build thread when you get it up.

Tank.... It's me GCBUTTER! You remember, the guy with the black NA/TT Hardtop supra...We'll I used to have the black supra, but sold it.

I loved my Supra, but my heart has always been with the RX7. I have owned two FD's and have been on this forum for sometime now. Give me a call or hit me up sometime if you need some help with your swap.

Take care!

Garrick
