Hello, This is David. Just acquired a 1983 12A. It needed a hydraulic clutch pump replacement. That is now done. It's been sitting for 10years. Want to drain gas and put oil in the spark holes and manually crank the engine to lube it before I turn it with starter. Old car but it was Free!

update
Engine ran with starter fluid. The gas tank is pulled out. Fuel line was plugged, still is. Tried rotor rooting it clear but not successful. Will cut open the tank and weld it shut after. Carb kit is in. need to review the manual and do a rebuild on that carb. It was flooding like mad. More painful than I expected…but still free….not anymore though

flooding carb
Hi david, take a look at the check valve in the fuel line near your carb. When i got my rx7, the check valve was backwards, was running too rich. Maybe yours is backwards?
