Admired RX-7s for years.
Since I was 13 my Uncle has owned a Montego Blue 1995 RX-7 and I have adored this car for the paste 10 years. Now that I have become a bit older I believe now is a good (good enough) time to look into enjoying my own RX-7 soon. I've looked over the site so far and this is the most extensive form I've been to so far.
Looking forward to meeting interesting people.

Welcome Ed,
Once the warmer weather rolls around keep your eye on the NE section of the forum. We do a gathering for the local club members @ the Chick-fil-a in front of the Lowes that is near Dulles Town Center.
There will be a thread started on it letting you know when we start up again, feel free to stop by and chat up some local rotor heads (and of course bring your ride when you get it).

Hello Ed
Hi Ed,
I just joined today myself. I have a black convertible 88 (my second 88 convertible). I'm near Norfolk and Portsmouth. I've actually owned 5 RX7s but I only have the one now. It is getting a little long in the tooth but it still runs great and drives well.
Hope we enjoy this club.

I just joined the forum myself. I have a 1989 ROTUS which most people have never heard of. It is a Lotus Super 7 inspired sports car with a Rotary engine. Mine has a 1987 13B Turbo and I am looking for RX7 owners in Virginia that do autocrossing and tech sessions from time to time. Where in Virginia do you live?

The OP is in Fairfax (you can see it a couple lines under his picture that is under his name)
In Richmond, look these groups up for AutoX -> VMSC and NASA AutoX
I've seen a yellow Rotus around up here, you didn't happen to buy that one did you? I don't remember it being turbo though.
Also, if you want to hang out with some Richmond area owners, I think this is their thread: https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/weekly-richmond-va-friday-night-starbucks-meet-new-location-533164/

You'll see a couple around, depending on where in nova you are. You'd be surprised how many are actually in the area. But, most people that own them just keep them in the garage anyway. Mine is out on the road pretty often. I drive it to work on nicer days (even today).
Although, I do see more FCs out that I don't know then FDs, usually when I see another FD I know who it is. If you have a 7 bring it out to some meets, CFA should start being regular pretty soon. Also, subscribe yourself to the DC area thread to see whats going on in the area.

From the Atachments and Images section of the FAQ:
How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

As a clarification, you can do any number of things to post an image. The straight forward way (if you are only going to use the image once) is to insert it as an attachment and then use it in the post.
Another way is to upload the images to your photo album within the forum. Then use the image link to reference it. This is good for pictures of your car etc that you might use a couple times. the only problem is there is a significant size restriction to the image.
The linking method where you refer to another site like picassa etc is good for when you want to put a high resolution image in the post or if you want to link to a pic that you don't want to or cant fit in your account's photo album anymore.

Keep your eye on this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/2011-dulles-town-center-chick-fil-942372/
The car show is every Friday, but don't go unless you see people saying that they are going on that thread. Due to other obligations (and weather) the 7 guys don't always show up. Sorry I can't be more specific, but it is safe to say the next nice Friday will likely be the next CFA meet-up. This Friday is looking a little on the colder side so I don't know how many will show.
