2nd time owner in Oregon
This is my second RX-7 I have owned. Both of my RX-7's were FC3's.
My recent purchase was in late 2006. My wife and I were hunting for another FC3 because we both regretted MY selling of the first one. We found a clean 1987 GTU a couple hundred miles up the road. The owner was kind enough to trailer it down to us so we could see it. Not only that, but was needy enough for the money that he dropped the price $300 from his asking price without negotiations. The interior was clean, had a recently installed Pioneer stereo, and only 104,000 miles.
The winter time here is terrible, so we garage and cover the Lil Red Rocket every year for about 6 months, depending on road conditions and rocks from the winter. Lil Red just turned 130,000 two weeks ago.
We were involved in a terrible car accident that left us without our car back in May of this year. The paint on the drivers side also had started to fade out, so we decided a full body and paint job was in order. Insurance covered the front end damage, we covered the rest. Now, she is the beautiful Sunset Red that she was from the factory!
The interior is still in great condition, but the aftermarket stereo has taken its toll on the stereo surround, and some of the plastic has cracked. We are slowly starting to rebuild some of the dillapitated interior parts including some of the electrical that has malfunctioned or just flat out died.
Me and Lil Red before the accident and after I lost 65 pounds. Proud day.

Here is the photo.
Again, here is my lil red car. Waiting for insurance to pony up for some tires. I locked up my brakes for 20 yards and flat-spotted a brand new set of tires badly. Back to running stockers for now.
