1987 turbo 2jz

hello all my name is don and im from north nj ( no i dont fist pump lol). i bought a original red 87 turbo II with 67,000 original miles on it a few months back. i know im probably going to have a lot of haters out there but, first thing i did was rip the 13b out and swap in a jdm 2jz with a built th400. my goal for the car is to go 8.90-9.30 on the stock block in 2013 season and i will be happy. if anyone would like to see pics so far i can post them up and im thinking about maybe starting a build thread soon. be easy on me rotary lovers

lolol its not that im a diesel tech actually for nj transit and built sfwd hondas i owned 2, im currently building my 06 sti which is putting a hold on my rx7 build. i know a decent amount about rotaries and can work around just about any motor, but im just to big of a 2j junky lol. i always wanted to build a 2j car but didnt wanna buy a supra i think they are over priced still at the moment. so i was looking around for a solid chassis i could put one in. i found the guy who was selling the t2 local in a jam so i jumped all over the car with the original motor for 2200! only rust is on the passenger side fender i thought it was a steal.

man this thing will be a rocket in a straight line. although you give up the corners to go that fast and straight. solution... buy another rx7 and keep the rotary and go tear up some twisty's.
with that said, although no rotary, it looks pretty sweet.

Looks like it belongs in there. I just about picked up a 1jz to swap into mine but decided on another route. Kind of wish I had went with a Inline 6 instead on some days.
