1987 RX7 Turbo 2 idle problem
Hi
I'm New to the club and looking for some info.
I have an 1987RX-7 Turbo 2 and have a few questions.
If you can help, please do... This car is stored in every (CDN) winter
and the last 2 years I've haven't had it out of the garage....
I start it but once it warms up it won't keep running.
Idle drops and stops, starts up again but quits soon after. Took it to
a Mazda dealer and he didn't know why it won't idle, he replaced the plugs but didn't work and he suggested that we remove my single exhaust and put on a new set of original dual pipes, he thinks it may be a bad vacuum line/hose .. Does anyone think that would solve my problem or am I just spending more $$.. 4 years ago I spent $1200.00 to put in a 4.5" single pipe, and all the gaskets replaced from the manifold out, with a Big magnaflow muffler..
Any suggestion would be helpful.
Thanks
Tucker
