Windshield/Glass Resurfacing Kit

Has anyone tried it out? You get it at a Ricer House (I.E. Autozone, Pep Boys, etc) and it attaches to your drill...it's sanding discs of varying grit with some sort of compound from what I saw. My FCs windshield is, well, quite like the paint... I want it clear as new!

Unless your just looking at a few blemishes on your windshield don't bother with a kit. I talked to several windshield repair/replacement shops along with glass repair business's about "polishing-out" a windshield. Bottom line, a windshield can't be done. You will wind up changing the "optical properties" of your windshield and "degrading" the safety glass properties of the glass. If it's that bad you need to replace it.

If it's cheap, then why the hell not.

But I have heard the same thing that Seniorchief posted....usually just makes it worse unless you know what you are doing.

Kinda like cutting and buffing paint....you are better off to just wash it and leave it be unless you know your way around a professional buffer.
