Arrow Why do people like aggressive body kits?

What is the desire to have a car look aggressive? I noticed that most of the body kits are made to look really aggressive and some of them look really ugly. An awesome example, is the VeilSide kit. What would you rather have an aggressive body kit or a body kit that compliments the body of a car?

I prefer the complete sleeper. Also, I am thinking about taking the emblems off me '91 when I get it repainted, then everyone will be like "what the hell is that?"

to make up for their small male genitalia. just kidding.

I think it's just human nature, we are individuals. That's why you have ppl calling a jar filled with **** and the crucified christ a work of art and have it displayed in museums.

Man that happens to me already!! I prefer a kit that compliments the lines of the car myself. I too think the Veilside kit looks like ***. I am probably going to go with the Apex-i front for my car as it matches the lines very well.

I was going to ask the same exact thing. I have a '91 right now but have been seriously looking into getting a 3rd gen. I am pretty sure that I would throw on that c-west kit(well at least the front). That bumper is my absolute favorite, and I must complement on how sweet your car looks. Is that the cwest rear spoiler? I have still been looking for a nice set of side skirts and rear caps to go with the cwest bumper. any suggestions?

I too despise the looks of the Veilside, & am seriously looking at the Cwest bumper with the Knightsports copy sideskirts from Racing Beat. I think the Cwest SSs are a little too agressive.

I don't think "Kits" in general is the best way to describe the aggressiveness. Usually the front and wing are what give the aggressive look (unless it's a widebody kit).

I really dislike the front on the C-West and Veilside, but I do like the look of the Veilside Side & Rear Skirts. I'm also not a fan of GT wings.

Actually, I haven't seen too many if any replacement front ends that I like over the stock. But all these kits exists because everyone has different tastes.

The C-West front is definitely aggressive. I love the C-West kit that is why I have the front bumper. I thought about not buying the front, but there are only 3,000 RX-7 registered in the US. Also, I have only seen two around the Northeast. AARotary and someone else has the C-West front; it is still rare out here. Also, there are a lot of "kits" that are aggressive. For example, Black Widow tends to have their "kits" very aggressive looking.

If the car goes like a monster, by all means have a monster looking kit on it, stock HP and a veilside kit just doesn't cut the mustard, personally i dont care what the rear wing looks like provided it slams the rear end into the pavement at 120kph+, FUNCTION not LOOKS

Thumbs up

Thanks for all your post guys. I love the way an aggressive body kit looks, especially those pics. I just needed some information, because I was doing a research paper on subculture on the import scene. As for those numbers I can't remember exactly were I got them, but I think it was from Pettit Racing.
Thanks.
