It's just a 52mm pod that's just dremeled out to hold a 60mm gauge. I'm not sure who makes the pod actually, i heard the autometer ones aren't "deep" enough to accomodate most 60mm gauges.

yup... unfortunately you do have to remove the needles and it's a bitch to recalibrate them all. they're made by nr auto, contact jason at the rx7store.net, he should be able to get them

Did you do the recalibration yourself? If so how'd you do it and if not where and how much did it cost to do? I only ask cause I REALLY REALLY want to do this but taking the needles off seems pretty scary from what i've heard.

Yeah, I recalibrated it myself... it's not really hard, it's just tedious. Just note all your readings before u replace the needles and when u put it back together just adjust the needles so that they have the same readings as before.

I want to thank "Mr Potato" BBQ for his support on the white guage swap....

I just did it this morning and you just have to be careful with those needles...

If you have a PFC Commander, its easy to recalibrate the guages...I have some pics of the job if anyone is interested...

Thanks Potato

what's wrong with the stock gauges? they are easy to read at night and does not give you any kind of reflections.

you can get the interior at torasports i believe. they make all different colors with carbon fiber, and brushed aluniumn.

It's gunmetal grey autobody paint w/ clearcoat to make it glossy. I just took my interior apart and took it to a body shop. The face gaues are sort of an amber backlit, not exactly red like the stock.

Hey there,

For those that have done the gauge face thing - is it possible to remove the needle and place it back on w/o having to recalibrate?

I was thinking of first removing the needle rests, set the gauge cluster up right, remove the needles when they are bottom dead center, change the faces, then carefully slip the nedle on at dead bottom center. Should be the same as before, right?

Thanks!

... not really... i thought that would work but when i actually went to do it, it just didn't work like that. the tach especially because it's so sensitive. i would plan on recalibrating them if you remove the needles...
