But if you want real best bang for your buck, go w/ something like an Alpine Type E or Type S. Pretty damn good for the money. Just ask Gene I dunno how much the Eclipse subs are, but I heard 'em and they're pretty nice too.

WRONGGGGG!The W7's Will fit in a FB! I've got three in mine! Three 8"s in a JL Micro Sub Box, Running a Two ohm load. Firing forward facing to the glass. Hitting 156 SPL's. Off a AudioBahn HCT 175 at 1 ohm (W7's run 3 and 6 ohms) at 900 Watts. And I'm a 40 year old Preacher Pushing Gospel Hip-Hop!

there are SOO many better subs out there than the W7, or anything by JL for that matter. Not saying that w7's are bad, but there are subs that are much better for much less than a W7.
they are way overpriced, too much rap music video bling attached to them.

In my 83' I also have three JL 8W6's that slam! And there just Sick!!!! But there hard to find but well worth it. And I only payed $55.00 bucks for all three in the Sub Box. And the box is 3/4 round so it fits under the back lip and with the glass closed you can't see them. But Lord knows you sure can hear and feel'em. Oh! There rigged up the same way my W7's are in my 82'. (3) 8" 8W6's briged down to 3 ohms, My Amp is a AudioBahn HCT275 at a 2 ohm load at 900 watts. If I could figure out how to post my pic's i'd show'em

Jesus, go to some sound competitons, w7s are what every sub is compared to. That should tell you something. It might be overpriced, but if you look at the design, craftmanship, and service you get, its really not. Depends what you what you car to be focused on wether all out track car or a stereo car. Fdnewbie, what tweeters are those? Look good with the flush mount..
