Talking Where did you "hide" the CD changer?

A while back ago I've installed the CD changer and as I took out a seat and carpeting and said to myself WTF! Where should I place them. Originally I was going to anchor it behind the pass seat, but, I thought that was tacky (because it's visible). I've decided to installed it in the spare tire compartment with cushioning bracket.

My original CD changer used to skip on me and I hated it, but, with a cushioned bracket (removable) in the back I have yet experience any skipping and the CD changer is completely out of sight (the way I like it).

Thought I'd share with you guys.

I have mine sitting up-right in the storage bin behind the Driver seat. I bought some 1" padding and placed it on the bottom and on the sides so the Changer is fully "cushioned" to absorb vibaration and all the hard bumps the car will sustain. Never had problems with skip.

Initially I was going to place it in the storage bin, but, emergency tools, oil, coolant took most of the space and felt that may not be a good idea for me. Besides, it's relatively easy to change CD from where it is.

Ha Ha, I made a bracket inside the spare tire with exstremely useful tire still in it.

I only had an experience once with flat tire, but, I prefer not take chances like that.

P.S. If you are in need of RS assistance give me a call anyway.

I looked into glove box, too. The CD changer was too big to put it in.
