Who dug this up?
Damn, I'm gonna have to call on myself. I had a little chip on the bottom of the rough chip-resistant rockerpanel that I was judging from... THAT stuff is yellow. I can't seem to find a "basecoat" to speak of on the rest of the car, other than grey primer.
Still looks best in person, I say.

I own a VR FD. If i could do it all over again, I would go with white or a custom color.
Cons to the VR is that Mazda's VR sucks. It fades/peels/cracks.
White is just beautiful. I think a green would look the part too

Silver seems to be the best on the average as it fads less, requires less washing, and looks exotic where ever it is seen. My car is silver, but I am still being impartial.

I guess most people aren't a fan of it...but I honestly still like Montego Blue the best. It does have some problems with fading/etc...but when I repaint mine, I'm going to be keeping it the same color.

I think silver is the best of the U.S. stock colors. Shows the curves, not the dirt... and is fairly stealthy and understated. The downsides are, if you need any paint work done, you'll have to practically paint the whole thing or you'll be sporting the 2-tone action.... and its tough to find wheels that look good on silver cars period.
I'd like white, but not the white that comes on it... its antique white and yellowish. If it were a proper Porsche Arctic white it would be better.
I think the darker (titanium) silvers don't look as good as you'd think they might when you imagine it, and the IBM is too cobalt... some of the C5 blues like LaBreck's are better.
Montego looks good in the right light, but other times looks dull and dark.
Black hides the curves and not the dirt... i do like it though.
VR is nice. I had one... but if you park next to a proper red car like a Ferrari, it looks like magenta.
CYM is great... but not as great as you'd think it was by how peoiple worship it.

No it's not Turbo'd
Corvette C5R Yellow
It's a bit more orange, than CYM, and for me is more appealing, but I do agree, that yellow is overrated, due to the rarity of CYM. And for some reason Ferrari's are most popular in red !?

In Europe there are only three colors available: black, red and silver.
Black- looks nice only when it's clean
Red- truly sports car color but reminds of a Ferrari
Silver- the best

before getting mine, i wanted to get silver for first choice, followed by black.. i really wasnt looking at the downsides to it but more of what it'll look like slammed with some phat shoes on it..but when i got my VR, i noticed how hot it was, i mean red on a sports car is a top choice..when people see cars on the road, my RED car stands out and people just stare..its a good feeling i guess..
