What stock color is best for a FD?

I'd hafta say silver def tops the list in my book...a nice metallic silver is BEAUTIFUL.
i got a black one...and yea, when its just waxed, it looks incredible....but take it for a 5 min ride, and u can see all the bugs and other road crap all over the front bumper...im like wut the....already?!
VR is too played out i think. too many. to "ferrari"ish. dont c it very unique.
as for CYM...IMHO...i think it's butt. i personally think ppl may like it more cuz it's rare...but i def dont think it looks nice at all (but then again, i dont think ANY car can possibly look good in yellow...)
ive seen some very nice blue ones (not stock monteago blue)
the white ... when clean, is nice too

u know, ive seen all of those in yellow...
raced a yellow viper...
have yet to see a yellow 911...
but i still hold to my OPINION lol... i just dont think the yellow looks good.... sorry
(and like i said before..i also really think a lot of it has to do w/ CYM bein rare... not so much asthetics...)
i guess it just rubs me the wrong way... too .... brite. kinda outlandish

its cool man, no one is saying you're oppinion is wrong. i guess some people (like me) kinda get defensive when people don't like the same stuff we do.

nice porsche but i don't drool over em anymore. i see them so much every day that i've had an overload of them and don't care for em anymore. if i was to get a porsche free, i'd sell it and buy and mod an FD. thats my OPPINION

Well I have a VR fd right now. It's in the sun quite often. All I have to say is man does red fade FAST! I personally like CYM and black. I can't stand Montego blue and especially that black-looking green color. These are my opinions.
CYM- true "eye-catcher" not so hard to keep clean and looks fast. You WILL be noticed with this color!
VR- also an "eye-cather" (isn't the fd an eye-catcher no matter what?) not so hard to keep clean, looks fast, and fades fast. Also looks great even on cloudy days. A very photogenic color!
MB: subtle, can look beautiful in the right lighting, semi-hard to keep clean, not as sporty but elegant.
BB: Very expensive looking, killer color when kept clean and especially waxed, difficult to keep clean (but if you're picky like me, every color is hard to keep clean hides alot of the cars beautiful curves. But definantly not a color car to mess with.
S: Not quite an "eye-catcher" but is a very sporty exotic color. Shows off the cars curves without being a very bright color. Very easy to take care of. But it depends if you think the color silver is boring or not. I think it is unless we're talking Spirt-R silver.
W: Can be an "eye-catcher" and can be very sporty. Can be hard to keep clean, and it can show off the cars curves. White would be my second choice. When done right this color can look clean and intimidating.

i have a white car right now an can't stand it. it gets dirty way to fast. i plan on not having either a red or white car from now on just cuz i really don't like those colours on cars. i've had not so good things happen with both. got a speeding ticket in a red car and the white is to much of a pain to keep clean.

and that's the ironic part..they're not even dirty yet...but any spec of dust, any stupid bug uve splattered...ANYTHING will show up. love the black, but it's too damn high maintenance too...
last time i got a carwash, drove home (3 miles), and by then the whole front bumper was nasty lookin lol...

and that's the ironic part..they're not even dirty yet...but any spec of dust, any stupid bug uve splattered...ANYTHING will show up. love the black, but it's too damn high maintenance too...

here's my question...is there any way u can tell if a CYM R1 is original? or if it was painted CYM later on? (other than takin off a layer of paint lol)

do a background search on the car. it should tell you the colour, how many doors its got, and everything else you need to know.

a site you can use is www.carfax.com but you have to pay to get a background check on the car.
