Ok FD owners... HOW ISN'T THIS just as bad as any other ricer mod out there? Do you own an Efini? Wait, if you did I wouldn't be seeing this thread.

No emblem s at all , fill the holes and repaint. Looks clean and slick. No one will say you should have used red or silver or black . Every one comments how clean it is. Old people ask what kind of car that is .

i dont think its as bad a ricer mod cuz most ricers in civics or watever put emblems on to make their car LOOK faster... the rx7 is already a fast car so whatever....

To the rest of you who took the time to post your opinions on what color I should go with, thank you. It looks like silver is getting majority vote so far.

Yeah, right. You think my car would be "riced out" with an Efini emblem? I guess there always has to be at least one idiotic comment posted in a thread. If Liquid Anarchy took the time to educate himself about the history and heritage of the RX7, he would have a little more respect. Me personally, I have owned many RX7's over the past 17 years, including a 1979 RX7 with a street port engine (that I built), a 1988 RX7 convertible with a street port engine (that I built), and now my 1993 with a street port and single turbo. Thanks for your idiotic comment.

1st, I'll start by correcting you. I never said that an efini emblem "riced out" your car; I said that it was a "ricer" mod. 2nd, my first post on this thread was immediately after the "big gay aluminum wing" thread was moved to this section of the forum; in which, I got tired of seeing FD owners post their double standard of "ALUMINUM WINGS ARE GAY! ...except on FD's...".
Next, I've owned 1 RX-7, but don't let that fool you. I know every inch of my car, and thoroughly know about the "RX-7 Heritage" that you implied I know nothing of. On top of that, all of the work done to my car, was done by myself; including the current streetported rebuild. Whoopity doo! I know how to operate a die-grinder and read a FSM, just like any other joe-blow on this forum. My current project is an Aux Ported N/A (do you know what that is, Mr. Rotary Heritage?) that will more than likely be turned into a high-compression turbo sometime next year.
Now, enough about me... let's talk about what you said...
How does knowing jack **** about the history of the RX-7 relevant to adding an emblem of a car, that your car ISN'T, anything other than a "ricer" mod? I'm SURE that every riceboy on the street knows the wonderful history of their cars... does that make it anything other than "rice" for someone to throw a SiR badge on their 1992 Civic EX? How is that any different from what you're doing? And why should I respect you any more for doing so? Did you import an efini? Is your car a 99' Spec, with the steering wheel on the right of the car, and KPH on the speedo? No... it's a single-turbo 93' with an apparent identity crisis.
That's not to say that I don't like your car, it looks nice and probably moves like a scalded ape... but it's still not an efini.
If it isn't blatantly obvious by now, I'd stick with the stock emblem, or shave it all together. But if you're dead-set on doing this, then I'd suggest the red emblem, to offset all of the silver from the car.

TpCpLaYa Thanks for the pics bro!!! Man, it's still a tough decision though. I really like the red too.
Liquid Anarchy I don't think this issue even deserves my time, but in hopes of you realizing how lame your point of view is, I obviously must explain it to you:
In many ways, the Efini RX7 is considered the ultimate to many of us RX7 owners here in the U.S.. So for my U.S. model (and yes, it is only a left hand drive car), to wear the Efini badge would be like me wearing the necklace from my Uncle who was killed in World War II. Was I in the war? No. Am I a Marine? No. Am I in the military now? No. So should I not wear (and honor) my Uncle by wearing his necklace for fear of some rude person criticizing me and asking "why are you wearing that necklace? You are not in the Marines!"
So isn't this kinda along the same lines by me honoring the Efini RX7, the rotary engine, and the engineering expertise of the Japanese?
Hopefully I have enlightened you. No hard feelings.

Then, why no Spirit R, or perhaps Bathurst Badge?
If you're going to wear some dogtags, why not wear the tags of the grandpa who was KIA; instead of the other grandpa's, who got ran over outside of a bar in singapore.
However "lame" you consider my point, however, just makes it so you appear more closed minded than I am. It's a matter of style, not how we judge one anothers opinion. You're the kind of person who would put rarer badges on you car; where I'd remove all my badges, so people have no clue what I drive (even though I'm sure 99% of the people who see your car won't understand your emblem). Also, be it a sign of respect, or wanting people to think they have one; hondaboys who put logo's, etc of a superior car are "rice", no matter how they explain it.
Don't mean to keep streaching this out, but you just keep saying things I have to address.
