adding another $50 is not bad at all and if we have more than 15 people, the price would definitely reduce. Now all we need is someone who can be in charge of the group guy. Can we please get a volunteer? I would do it but I'm just too busy with school and work.

Try this: Call VIS and ask for a man named Peter Skul (hes in charge of Sponsorships and pricing for group buys i believe).
Tell him we have 15+ people in line for a wing that we want them to make and want it in Polyfiber (im guesing? or do we want fiberglass....). Itll be ready in about 6 weeks or less.

also...we need to take a poll and see what everyone wants...fiberglass or polyfiber.
polyfiber is good for kits because of its flexibility and all that, but it doesnt weigh THAT much less than fiberglass (if at all...its still a fiberglass material). Plus heavier might be better against wind and all that....and is it worth $100 more?

do people JUST WANT THE WING AND DONT CARE, or are there people SET on one or the other?

^ I just want a damn wing whether it'd be polyfiber or fiberglass. I'm leaning towards a fiberglass one on the count that it's $100 cheaper and I need all the money I can get.

ya seriously. im down for fiberglass...i mean, come on....If youre trying to save money in the first place....and polyfiber has no advantage to a wing...why spend $100 more on a flexible material?

hehe, ya...so should we ask VIS to make the fiberglass ones?

we should just take a poll to see who wants polyfiber and who wants fiberglass. refer to my other thread, and vote so we can get a honest estimate

I would just like to go with fiberglass since there is no real reason to spend another $100 on something that might be like a pound or two lighter. Adjustability doesnt matter to me either since I am not going to be playing with it anyways. It all comes back to our original problem though, no one has an original wing for them to copy. What are we going to do about that?

there is a guy on the other thread about the 99 front bumper that said he would be willing to send his 99 wing in for a mold. Someone should see how serious he is.

He must have an IQ of 50 if he means that. His authentic OEM wing would be destroyed and in return he would get a non-adjustable one

Hmmm... let me ruin a $800 wing so I can get a $300 one in return. Sounds like a good deal to me.

You're right it dosen't make sense.
Maybe he dosen't realize that his wing is gonna go bye-bye?

As far as the group buy is concerned does it really matter what material we want?

Some of us want polyfiber others want fiberglass. But for VIS in order to make the wing they require a few people to ensure that labor is cost productive, that is a given. But in the end after the mold has been made what difference does it really make what material they use? For example: for OneBadRx7's wing grab material out of bin A which contains fiberglass, for montego's wing grab material out of bin B which contains polyfiber. Or maybe there's more to it, does anybody know?

vis should pay for the 99 spec wing to make the mold out of. It would be rediculous for us to buy them one, they stand to make alot of money from offering this product and should pay the r&d costs. If we buy the wing the people who pay for it should get their vis replicas at cost.

I'm interested, I'd prefer an adjustable wing.
