It looks as horrifically grotesque as all of their other body pieces....

Actually, this widebody looks pretty good to me, but it is way, way over the top for a street car and it doesn't look anything like an FD anymore so I think you have to judge the appearance as a separate car rather than an FD body kit. And I like the back -- no "shogun super shark fins with quadra-gills" or other common Veilside nonsense to mess it up. I don't like the abrupt leading edge of the rear wheel wells, though -- it doesn't flow. If your car looks like that, you better have some serious performance to back up the looks.

i think it would look good if it was in the track.

but i would treat it as an "exotic" if it was driven in the street. thumbs up nonetheless since this is a much better kit that veilside actually came out with

Simply put, this widebody kit is truly amazing! Right now the main thing I am concerned about is the price for this masterpiece. Another thing I am really concerned about is the way everyone has been replying to the pictures of this wide body kit. Are these replies being sarcastic because I am looking at these pics right now and they do not look "ugly." If you are seriously implying that the above pictured car is "ugly," while then I am interested in seeing a picture of your car posted on this thread so that I can make a comparison (by the way I hope your car is not a stock looking rx-7 because then there would clearly be no comparison). To sum it all up, in my opinion the viel side wide body skirt kit is what I believe to be one of the nicest things that can cosmeticly be done to the rx-7. So if you are aware of something better I am interested in seeing some pictures of what it is.

Are you saying that the veilside widebody kit looks better than a stock FD?

Some people on this forum got a rx7 because they wanted a rx7; that car doesn't resemble a rx7 at all. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; if you think it's the greatest thing in the world, great, if you think it's ugly, i agree with you. I'd spend my $7,000 somewhere else . . . .

Car looks pretty cool for what it is: A show car. Although I would never ever consider doing that to my own car.

Did anyone else note the resemblence their FD has to the new TVR Sagaris given the angle of the first picture? Aside from the headlights obviously being different. Perhaps its just me, but thats the first car that came to mind when I saw the intial picture of the Veilside FD.

The first picture reminds me of a 350z. The kit looks better than the F&F kit we all know. The rear end looks pretty crappy but I can live with the front end.

Anyone want to make bets on how many reposts this car will get in the next month? Think "Euro/Altezza" taillights.

I am going to say eight (8).
