I like the idea of not having to drill and install well nuts.
But how has the adhesive held up to the heat during the summers? I just get the image of all those velcro pads people put in the interior of their car that have slid or no longer in the original position due to heat melting the adhesive.

Mine has never moved. Used a industrial velcro with 3M backing on it. If it did move its not a big deal, you wont see the glue and if it pissed you off enough you could go back to drilling and screws

I hadn't thought or heard of using Velcro, but that seems like a good idea. My clips are pretty trashed as I imagine many other people's are as well. Since the sill naturally wants to stay just where it sits (unlike a plastic box Velcro-ed to the dash, for instance), I would expect the adhesive to be fine. And even if it slips a little, it is hidden by the sill. Good idea!

Max i did i lilttle write up on it before, even explaining what to do about the holes in the sill. Velcow is a bit better then faom tape because it is removeable for any reason you have to, although i have never taken mine off in the few years its been done.
