str8ryd: Suspension/Underbody Project (Picture Intensive)...
Well, I've been building my Metallic 7 for a looong time now (Approx. 5 years). At first it was just a simple turbo swap. Then, I blew my motor (Incompetent tuner). At that point I was forced to make a decision and decided to go the 20B route. I've been silently documenting my build, but didn't find it necessary to share the teardown.
However, now that I'm nearing completion of the build and I'm finally excited...I thought I'd share a bit . Motor is nearly finished and I've collected parts for the past 5 years to get this to be exactly what I want. At some point in time, I decided I wanted to completely teardown the suspension/underbody components so that I could powdercoat everything. Once I had removed it all, I decided it was a great time to go ahead and fully paint the underbody. I'll post pics up of the underbody a little later as my friend took those shots for me. Right now, I'll post pictures of all the suspension/underbody components that I plan to start assembling.
Enjoy!:

I think that's it for now. I'll post pictures up of the transmission and differential soon. I'm also getting back to continuing a blog I started a year or so ago. I'll be adding additional pictures and details there. I'll post up a link to it a little later.
Thanks,

Riz... That's beautiful stuff! I love the cherry red A-arms. I had just told my wife a few days ago that I was finally done. I couldn't think of anything else I wanted to do to my car. Now, she knew not to believe me and I already had a few small things I was thinking about, but, now... Anyway, beautiful work. Great stuff.

Thanks Gordon! I always enjoy hearing your input. I love the unique nature of your build as well.
Regarding the color, it's actually a Candy/Metallic Red with Gold flakes. Without ideal or proper lighting its been very difficult to capture though. And, I know exactly what you mean about being finished with the car. I've been building this car for tooo many years and thought I had everything sorted out as well. Definitely not the case as I now want the LED Tailights made by SakeBomb. It never ends lol.

Regarding the suspension, I definitely say go for it! My only real advise is to go to a powdercoater who is familiar with working on automobile parts. Makes life much easier for yourself as they'll already know what to mask and how to properly powder the components.
In the end, I did this as much for aesthetics as I did for longevity. The finish on these parts is now very durable and I anticipate keeping things clean will be pretty simple.

True...unfortunately, I don't know how it was done. I gave them to the powdercoater as-is and as far as I know, he masked off whatever he needed to. If you'd like more details, I could always ask as I have a couple more pieces that need to be done.

Also, if it's not too much trouble, could you email me the high resolution versions so I can keep them for myself. I lost the original pictures I took of the underbody so I'm counting on you lol.
Thanks buddy!

Thank you Carol! I've admired your car from a distance so I appreciate the comments. Really hoping you don't sell your beast, but good luck either way
Thanks Rich! I can't wait till I can start driving it. It'll still be another 6 months or so realistically, but I'm closer than I've ever been.
Thank you Costas! We'll talk further on AIM bud.
