so what can i do with this paint?

i'm gonna pick up this car on sunday. what the HELL do i do with the paint? as far as the hood goes, it's getting repainted black, but other parts on the top of her are just like the hood.

so, can i get a shop to buff it, or get them to clearcoat it?

i'm a f-ing MORON when it comes to this stuff. so in this thread, feel free to bitch slap me and tell me what to do. just don't tell me i need to get it repainted, or i'll bitch slap you

thanks for the help...

about the only option is a good respray ,..or.... a cheap MACO style spray. Just a sanding to get a good surface and then a single stage paint. Cheap and realativly easy. As you don't "have" to remove everything, just mask off.

That is a bit past the buff it out stage

Dude I got my entire car painted for $600 Feb. 2003 and it still shines. You just have to shop around and bargain with these small shops. Just tell them if your car turnes out really good, you can bring them more customers.

Nope. A buffing, polish, and wax won't do a damn thing, and clearcoat you say? Don't even go there. You'll need a new respray to get that car to look decent.
