Should I gut out my black interior on my FD???
I been passing this idea back and forth in my head... and I can not decide whether or not I should gut my black interior on my FD or not....
I know if I do part out, i can make some good money off it.. because my interior is a 9/10.
Basically if I do go for it. I would plan on removing
I would only keep my dash, door panels and seats..
But I dont know if I should..
I love not having interior, less things to worry interior wise as well...( ive always gutted my FC interiors).
but Idk..
Btw, i plan on driving my fd 3-5 times a week and tracking it for the most part.
so if you have gutted interior, let me know how it is, and if you have full interior.. all chime in..
thanks

There is a fine line between form and function!!! Lets say that you plan on tracking the car and are leaning toward minimalist-function-weight as a focus then gut the hell out of it(make some money while you're at it).
The other side of the line is once you start gutting out the interior of a nice FD and plan on daily driver the beast, you are in that "ghetto WTF, that **** looks like ****(IMO)" category.
If your sole purpose is to get some money out of your FD to fund her in order to get the FD on the road, I think that you are making a poor choice in the matter-(IMO).
Once you start gutting any car for the wrong reasons other than for functional reasons, i believe that you are indeed making a poor decision.
Best of luck........

I gutted the whole interior before. The hatch plastics, divider, rear panels, bins, head liner, sunroof motor, door panels, kick panels, hatch carpet, etc. Only things that were left was the dash, tranny tunnel, cabin carpet and seats.
All the stuff I removed weight in at 53 lbs and I bet the sunroof motor was the majority of that so what I am trying to say is that it is not worth gutting the car and keep everything. The bins come in handy

yup. dry ice and some chizzles and your good...takes a good while. you can get them at Albertsons, 2 blocks should be enough. the ones on the edges are a bitcchhh to get too and will need to be grinded off...Personally I would paint it the same color as your car...It looks a lot cleaner when everything matches (inside and out) doing a different color inside (engine bay, gutted interior) is really honda-tech'ish...something you would do to a swapped eg, ek, etc....
thanks for the tip... well since im going to get the car painted soon, i might as well get the inside painted..
so white on white it is.. with a pink roll cage
