Should I Feed her or not?
I've had the car for about 9 months and during this time I've fixed little things on it, collected some parts for future mods and gotten used to the car.
Now I'm ready to take it to the next level. I will be doing a single turbo conversion, buying new wheels (width depending on the bodykit hence this thread) and suspension mods.
Here is the dilemma, I can't decide if I should go all the way in terms of exterior mods or keep it subtle. I know it's personal choice but I'd like to hear what you guys think.
I'm stuck between Feed type 2 bodykit with Burnout rear fenders vs. 99spec bumper. Initially I was thinking of building some sort of Goodfellafd3s rx7 clone as I like that clean look but I also like the Feed Type 2 kit and the aggressive look.
My car has 35k miles on it and it's in pretty good condition inside and outside. One major concern of mine is I'd give the Feed bodykit a try but once I mold the Feed or Burnout rear fenders to the body, it's irreversible afaik. Another thing is some bodykits I've seen have inner guards missing cause stock doesn't match, you can look through the front bumper and see the rear number plate etc. etc.
So what do you guys think?
Here is a pic of my car:

Personally I love the Plateless '99 spec front bumper with the lip painted. Combine that with the Feed CF side skirts with some Fiske wheels a nice 2.5 or 3 inch drop just looks so good.
Keep the stock rear bumper and get a Rear diffuser? The '99 spec wing is sexy but so is the Type II Adjustable FEED wing. And depending on what the FD is gonna be built for, that is what i would say is gonna determine if the Wide Rears go on or stay off.

ive done pretty much all 3 and i have to say, i wish i would have stayed S6 all the way with all factory options (ie. lip, roof spoiler, mud guards and some updated factory wheels)
right now i have a hybrid of 99 spec and feed lol, looks aggressive and completely different. but im not as satisfied as when i 1st got the car.
here are some pics

now its still the same except going with RE-A ducted headlights or R-magic
but with a flared rear lip and some CCW Classics nicely tucked.

at the end of the day its all about what you prefer, your taste.. regardless of what other might see fit.(your car, your rules)
if you like what others have done go ahead and clone it, rich and gene are perfect examples of sexy VR fd's

In what way you're not satisfied? Are you not satisfied due to quality issues like fit and finish or oem plastic vs. fiberglass etc.? Or is it just the looks?

I mean not an exact copy but since his car has pretty much stock bodywork any VR with Enkei RPF1s will look like a clone. There are so many VRs with 18" Enkei RPF1s in this forum you'd think it was a factory option at one stage lol

my 99' spec was all oem. and with the hybrid
i went with Shine auto for all my needs and his products fit like a glove. no fiberglass all sanded carbon kevlar so it was sturdy. i love looking at my FD in my driveway before i go to work. but once in a full moon i would run into an un-molested
clean looking series 6(1993-1995) and i found my self contemplating of going back to factory with a nice set of wheels like volk GT-U's or some nice work VS-XX (im a huge fan of mesh staggered wheels)
so i would say look wise there is nothing sexier than a stock looking FD on the Streets.

Decision made (well kind of), I'm keeping it stock body but buying a 99spec bumper (and the poll agrees). It was a tough decision as I like both styles but stock body with 99spec bumper is more logical in my case. Because even with 93 bumper (no number plates) each time I go cruising I'm hoping I don't run into a cop (front nr plates compulsory here) 99spec will take care of that. But most importantly after looking at many pics like RspedFD, PureRX7 and Bewtew's cars, I think a widebody really needs a custom paintjob (means engine out) and a big drop to be complete. Any drop that shows fender gap doesn't look good and any drop that doesn't is just not convenient for daily driving. So I'll keep focusing on the engine for the time being and postpone my "supercar presence" dreams to a later date. Thanks to all who contributed.

Though mine is no longer stock looking and I know I'm late with the vote but... I'd say my absolute favorite look is:
93 bumper, stock or 99 lip, feed sides, diffuser, a low drop and a nice set of wheels

So I ordered a 99spec bumper but mostly for its 99spec lights and number plate holder. But I'm going through importers so I still have time to withdraw or change my order.
93spec looks good alone but looks a little aged when a freshened up RX7 is parked next to it (no disrespect to the owner, I have the same car anyway).
