Shaved Doors
Hey everyone im finally getting into the bodywork portion of my FC.
I just wanted to get opinions on shaving the door handles & trunk lock.
How would i install the poppers on manual door locks, and is it possible to install one for the hood as well?
I think the only problem would be the battery going dead, but its worth installing since im going to be living at school in D.C. (plus it would look sexy)
Any Brands i should trust and do they make ones that i could install a small battery inside or on, that way i could get into the car if the battery died?
Just Let Me Know,

Dont do it, it sucks. I have mine done on my 88 turbo. I bought the door popper kit off ebay and it seems to work decent. I up graded the wires because the wires that came with the kit were to thin and too short. I also had to go to a electrician store and find some switches that could handle the voltage because the ones that came with the kit burned up. make sure you get a momentary switch. I left my trunk lock unshaved so i could get in if my battery died. Most people put a cable in a hidden place to pop open the door in case of emergency. If you do this use a old hood cable it works great. The cable they sell at Autozone is too stiff. The wires to trigger the poppers are kind of tricky because they run off of the alarm. The whole thing is a pain in the *** to wire up and sucks when your battery dies. Also if your door doesnt pop all the way open on the first try you have to keep popping it to get it open. You can install little pushers to push the door open more but then you will have to slam the doors to get them closed. I installed the poppers for opening the doors right in the inside of the door bolted to the sheet metal that the door panel holds to. If you buy a kit with instructions and have a decent mind for mechanics you should be ok. Personally im tired of mine and in the process of getting rid of it. If you wanna buy let me know ill sell it to you or trade it for S4 blue interior parts which i need!
