hey, is there any serious cutting that has to be done that would prevent me from switching to another aftermarket or maybe back to the stock hood later?

There is no cutting invovled with installation of the hood. The only thing you have to do is probalby just drill the holes on the hinge bigger to have greater adjustment. You can switch to any hood you want.

The scoot hood either the original or the replica will not work with a M2 air box and the M2 intercooler without modifying either the hood or the M2 parts. It's not the fault of the hood though. Those parts are just not compatible.

Have my Scoot hood. I had to modify the hinges per the rotary extreme website to fit better. I have c west lights so I had to shave a tad bit off for fitment. (it fit well, I'm just a perfectionist)

The hood did not fit with M2 airbox (as was stated)..it DID fit with a large stock mount pettit intercooler and shroud. I just had to move a few things to allow the fit.

I'm very very very happy with the hood and would recommend it to anyone.

I'm planning on getting a 99 spec front end and rear spoiler for my 7. I was wanting to get the M2 intake box and leaning towards a medium or large smic. But, you guys said the intake and smic wouldn't work.. so what should I do, just ditch the intake box or should I just get the RE hood. Which hood does everyone else prefer? Scoot or RE? thanks.

Oh yea and another thing, if I get the 99 spec front bumber with the "flying bird" emblem should I switch the back emblem to the 99 emblem or just stick with the 3rd gen emblems all around? thanks.
