Rub your hand across your paint. Is the texture glass smooth or rough? If the latter, you need to use the clay bar to pull all the contaminants and whatnot out of the paint.

Theres no short answer really without seeing the paint firsthand.

It wont hurt to clay bar it, but it may not be necessary. If the paint is rough, has overspray on it, or any contaminants, I would reccomend it. Then followed by a polish and S100.

S100 is great stuff. i would reccomend it to anyone.

You're not always going to see contaminants that are in and on the surface of the paint, which is why I recommended he checks its condition by touch.

Rub a small piece of claybar w/ lube on any body panel for a few seconds then turn it over. You'll see *then* how dirty your paint is.
