Cool RX-7 from The Fast And The Furious

Does anyone have any pics of Vin Diesel's (Dominic Toretto) RX-7 from The Fast And The Furious? I am recreating that car for a client of mine and need as many pics to work from as I can find. Please send them to chrish@mountaincable.net or email me if you know of a place where I can go to get some myself. Thanks a bunch!

Are you sure about that? I went through it frame by frame 4 times because I heard people say it was a 3 rotor and I could only make out 2 rotors.

I thought it looked pretty sweet, though I wouldn't have used those Veilside rims they're ugly as hell.

Didn't notice the 3 rotor, though if he really did have a 3 rotor that would explain how he won the race so easily. But it's just a movie anyways lol, doesn't have to make sense.

Thanks for the help cmartinp28!

Yeah... because a two rotor would have had some trouble beating a couple of Hon-duh's

why do people think that just because they used a 3-rotor in the animation that the actual car had a 3-rotor??

if you are going to do the conversion, please use a 93 base model, either in VR or montego blue, preferably in auto. destroy the least desired FDs first, so the rarer and more desired models would be left for enthusiasts.

Haha, this is a really popular car in these forums lol, FYI he's not getting that rocketship decal plastered across the side of the car, but he does want the same body kit and interior mods etc.

Yeah but those Hon-duh's were probably pushing somewhere around 400 rwhp. The racing cars in that movie were heavily modified, spoon engines, turbos, nitrous... it all adds up to a hell of a lot of HP.

Only a movie though, remember that. If he smoked them right away then there'd be no excitement, just a bunch of mexican and chinese guys standing around saying "Ohhh there goes Toretto again, guess he gets the money. Why do we even bother?"

Can't forget that the one guy ordered 3 spoon engines, NOS, and A T66 turbo. Not to pick but Spoon engines aren't made for turbos or anything like that, they are mean't to stay naturally aspirtated. Nothing against you, but I hate that god damn movie. Every other sentence in it contradicts itself.

It doesn't matter, a honda with 400 FWHP (not RWHP hondas are front wheel drive remember?) would never get traction on the street wthout drag slicks. And a 400 with street tires would literally just keep spinning the tires on and on (trust me, I have friends who have 10-11 second hondas who've tried running their cars at the illegals). But whatever, it was a movie so it doesn't matter, if I recall correctly import tuner or turbo magazine had an article about that car some months ago. If you could find it, it lists all the mods that are on that car and shows a lot of pictures of the interior/exterior etc... All i remember was that it had apex guages, tan interior, a recaro spg seat, veilside kit, FMIC, apex'i intake, apex'i n1 single exhaust, and veilside andrew racing wheels, and some more stuff I can't recall at the moment, but those are all expensive cars, have fun building it.

Good point. The other thing is that he said he was recreating the car for someone else. Which means that person is copying someone else....that is really shitty.
